5 Ways to Get Through Holiday Parties While Single

Shay · December 29, 2014 · Leave a Comment

I recently went to a party where it seemed like everyone there was coupled up.  Everyone it seemed, except for me.  I could have invited someone to come with me, but I didn’t bother.  I just wanted to go and have fun and really not have to bother about having to dance with the same person the whole night.  Also, my ex and a possible next both stated they wanted to come. That drama I couldn’t afford.

So what should you do if you’re single this holiday season and you definitely want to party? Well, I have included 5 tips to use so you can have fun and get through the holiday parties while you’re single. So get out that sexy party dress and get ready to party.

How to get through holiday parties while single. Who says you can't have fun if you're single? You can and here are some tips on how to enjoy the holiday parties as a single person.

5 Ways to Get Through Holiday Parties While Single

1. Invite a group of friends to party with. If you’re surrounded by fun-loving and crazy women, who needs a man on their arms? This way you all can dance with who and when you want and you can act as crazy as you want. You’re guaranteed to have lots of fun.

2. Only accept invitations to parties where there will be more singles. Some hosts and hostesses seek out couples to place on their invitee list. This may be great when you’re in a relationship or have a date, but if you don’t, it can get lonely real quick. You’ll start to stand out like a fifth wheel and people will try to hook you up with their friends the entire night.  Save yourself the irritation.

3. Visit several parties in one night.  New Year’s Eve is all about the party scene. You shouldn’t feel like you have to be boggled down at one place all night. Travel to different parties throughout the night. Not only will you meet different people, but you can use your best friend’s party as an excuse to leave one that is lame or worse, filled with lots of couples early. Keep it moving and when you get to one that you’re having the most fun at, stay there until the ball drops.

4. Invite a date. Just because you’re single doesn’t mean you can’t go out on a date with a man and have fun. So what if you haven’t received that invitation yet to go out, go ahead and invite that arm candy to party with you. The sexier the better and you’re sure to be the envy of all of your friends.

5. Plan your own soiree. If you host your own party, you have control over who you invite. If you want couples or a bunch of wild crazy singles, it will be entirely up to you. Also, it can be as low key as you want as well. Whatever you plan, just don’t plan to be at the house feeling sorry for yourself, because you’re by yourself.
