Dating is difficult because it’s time and money consuming. Unfortunately, sometimes you are either just not feeling like doing something spectacular or have no means to do it. Either way, if you don’t know what to do on a date without having to spend money, check out these simple activities!

Go Stargazing
It might sound cheesy as hell, but it’s also completely free. If you are living in an area, where the night sky is particularly beautiful, you might want to consider spending some time outside. Grab a blanket and your significant other and go to the roof or to the nearest park. Another option is simply to stay in your backyard. This way you won’t have to go far to return home. You can pack some snacks and take them with you to have a nice, little picnic under the starry sky.

Watch A Movie
Spend some time with your partner and Netflix! Everyone likes a good movie once in awhile. You can either choose the film together or pick it yourself to set the desired mood. You can even make it into a tradition and opt for a TV Show!
-
Have A Homemade Dinner
If you don’t want to waste money on a café or a restaurant, opt for a homemade meal. Even if your fridge is empty, getting the needed groceries still will be cheaper than buying prepared meals. Cook a dinner for you two and enjoy each other’s company!
-
Read A Book
If you are both into literature, you can spend some quality time reading a book. It’s a great way to share your interests as well as improve yourselves as people. However, I would not recommend forcing your significant other into this particular hobby. Although can try to find a middle ground. Try to engage each other in your favorite activities every week. This Friday you’ll read a book and next Friday you’ll play basketball or video games, sound good, doesn’t it?

Learn Something New Together
This activity is closely linked to the previous one; however, this one is directed towards self-improvement and self-education. It will broaden your outlook, give you a lot of material to discuss with your friends and family, and increase your overall intelligence. I see only advantages so far! Watch a documentary or read an interesting, informative article online. Reward each other with other pleasant activities later!

Relax
The simplest activity is, essentially, to avoid any particular activity. Take a break and lounge around. Talk, cuddle, play games, do whatever you would normally do on a nice, relaxing day. I get it; you want to plan and prepare. Still, there is often no need for this stress. You don’t have to get your hair and nails done at Manhattan hair salons. You also don’t necessarily have to squeeze yourself in a pair of heels and wear an uncomfortable but pretty clothes. Try to relax and have a nice, lazy evening with someone you cherish instead.
Try out some of these next time you want to save yourself from some trouble!
